Ivonne Thein is a multidisciplinary artist based in Berlin. In the post-digital era, she explores the digital transformation of the body through her diverse artistic practice. Using videos, sculptures, AI-generated works, and installations, she engages in an in-depth examination of the body—not only to understand its nature but also to highlight its role as a central site of contemporary discourse. A key theme of her work is the optimization mechanisms of our performance-driven society. Her photographs, videos, sculptures, and mixed-media installations have been exhibited in renowned galleries and museums, including the Centre Pompidou, Fotomuseum Winterthur, C/O Berlin, ACP Sydney, Kunsthalle Karlsruhe, Lentos Kunstmuseum Linz, and the Amelie A. Wallace Gallery in New York. Her work has been recognized with numerous awards and grants, including those from C/O Berlin, ifa (Institute for Foreign Cultural Relations), Stiftung Kunstfonds, VG Bild-Kunst, and the BBK Federal Association.

Ivonne Thein ist eine multidisziplinäre Künstlerin, die in Berlin lebt und arbeitet. In der postdigitalen Ära erforscht sie in ihrer vielfältigen künstlerischen Praxis die digitale Transformation des Körpers. Durch Videos, Skulpturen, KI-generierte Werke und Installationen setzt sie sich intensiv mit dem Körper auseinander – nicht nur, um seine Beschaffenheit zu ergründen, sondern auch, um seine Rolle als zentraler Schauplatz zeitgenössischer Diskurse hervorzuheben. Ein zentrales Thema ihrer Arbeit sind die Optimierungsmechanismen unserer leistungsorientierten Gesellschaft. Ihre Fotografien, Videos, Skulpturen und Mixed-Media-Installationen wurden in renommierten Galerien und Museen ausgestellt, darunter das Centre Pompidou, das Fotomuseum Winterthur, C/O Berlin, das ACP Sydney, die Kunsthalle Karlsruhe, das Lentos Kunstmuseum Linz und die Amelie A. Wallace Gallery in New York.
